On staff at RFA since 2002, Chris serves as Missions and Evangelism Pastor. Chris is ordained as an Assemblies of God Evangelist and also serves with Way of the Cross Ministries in the area of missionary evangelism. Pastor Chris and his wife, Amy, have 3 children; Olivia, Ethan, and Isaac.
Dorothy Aikin
Dorothy has attended RFA for 9 years. This will be her fourth trip to Haiti. She has also been on trips to Honduras and Southeast Asia. Dorothy has volunteered with RFKC (Royal Family Kids Camp) for 5 years and sings in the choir at RFA.
Chris Casino
This will be Chris' third mission trip with RFA. As a husband, father, and RFA Youth Leader, he enjoys serving others for God's Kingdom.
Nancy Cowan
Nancy is married to Gary and lives in Apex, NC. She has one son, Matthew, and two step children, Gary and Kera. In addition, she is blessed to have 8 step grandchildren. Nancy is a member of Jordan Church in Apex. This will be her first mission trip, and she is very excited to be going. With her previous church, Nancy served as a youth group adviser for youth grades 3-5 and for the middle school youth group. She also served on the board of education. She first learned of the Haiti mission trip from her friend and coworker, Dorothy Aikin, and has prayed for Dorothy on her previous mission trips. Nancy feels extremely blessed to be going on this mission trip with the RFA mission team.
Peggie D'Amico
Peggie has been attending RFA for four years after relocating from New Jersey. She has been married to David for 33 years, and they have been actively serving God since 1982. Before moving to Raleigh, Peggie was able to go on a mission trip to El Salvador and Guatemala. While in El Salvador, she had the wonderful experience of leading a young female gang woman in prison, who committed murder, to Christ. She is very excited to see how God will use her in Haiti.
Chris Fewox
This is Chris' fifth trip to Haiti. "Each time I go I am reminded of how the Lord is using the church to minister to the poor and needy. God's plan is to nurture and raise up the orphaned and the needy." (Psalm 113:7,8)
Boyd Howard
Boyd accepted the Lord as Savior in 1953 and married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Loretta, in 1955. They have 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He graduated from the University of Washington with a BS in Metallurgical Engineering. His work assignment countries have included the US, Canada, Japan, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Germany, Austria, France, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. He has participated in short-term mission trips to the Czech and Slovakian Republics and to Alabama's Katrina-damaged homes.
Michelle works in the office at RFA. This will be her third mission trip to Haiti.
Kati Montague
Kati is a third year student in Truth Culture Raleigh. She has attended RFA since she was just a little girl and has been on five other short-term mission trips to Latin America. This will be her first trip to Haiti, and she is so excited to see what God has in store. She has a passion and heart for children and feels called to minister to orphans and children around the world.
Vickie Nusz
Vickie has previously been to Haiti to build a roof for a church. She has also been on two mission trips to Spain. Vickie volunteers with the children's ministry at RFA and participated in RFKC last year.
Muriel Pawlek
Muriel is married to Harry and together they have two daughters, Gwen and Elizabeth. She also has 5 grandchildren, Alex-12, Elise-9, Cheyenne-8, Kayden-2, and Charlotte-22 mos. Muriel is a dental assistant in Winterville, NC where she lives and attends church at Faith Assembly of God. She has been on various mission trips to Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Belize, Dominican Republic and Venezuela. She has always been a part of dental missions except for 2 out of her 10 trips. She feels extremely blessed to be traveling to Haiti with the team from RFA. She is excited and open to what God has planned for this trip.
Luis Pena
Luis was born and raised in San Salvador, El Salvador as the youngest of five siblings. He went to Mexico for college and lived there for about ten years after which he went back to El Salvador. In 2000, he received a call for missions and started to get involved in the missions committee and different activities related with missions in his home church in San Salvador. He has been on a mission trip to Croatia where he received his confirmation from God to be a missionary. He is currently finishing his MS in Food Science at North Carolina State University.
Tammy Webb
Tammy is actively involved with several ministries at Sweet Gum Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Mebane where her husband is the pastor. This will be her first trip to Haiti.
Kila Yralux
Shekila has been traveling to Haiti since May 2009. She is a wife and high school counselor. She loves traveling to Haiti, the people, and of course the delicious food. She sees it as a privilege to be a part of the work God is doing in Haiti.
Pastor Eric Jarvis
Pastor Eric was saved, baptized, filled with the Holy Spirit, and called into ministry when he was 10 years old. He attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri where he received his BA in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Ministries. He is senior pastor of First Assembly of God in South Haven, Michigan where he has served for the past 15 years. Prior to serving as senior pastor, he served in Niles, Michigan and South Haven as an associate pastor ministering to children and youth. He is married to his helpmeet of 25 years, Jennifer, who teaches kindergarten and has one son, Caleb, who is 19. Among Pastor Eric's passions are outdoor activities such as gardening, camping, hunting, and fishing. Rumor has it that he has been seen clowning around from time to time.
